Construction of prestressed rope-spider systems of transparent facades

Abstract

The article presents the main problems and features of the design of facade designs using prestressed rope-spider systems. Fixing element is a ball joint, which is designed to connect the glass panels to the structure. Ball Joint takes over the main wind and snow loads and prevent glass breakage due to its mobility. Effectiveness of pre-stressed rope-spider system is provided preload cables to create a design effort, opposite the settlement with almost complete except for the struts. This makes it possible to carry out elements of the facade girder of steel cables with small diameter, giving the facade a unique industrial design and maximum light transmission.
