Abstract

Purpose. Air pollution is the most important factor of influence on the environment and human health. Identification of priority pollution sources, followed by an assessment of their risk and impact on the environment are urgent problems of modern environmental protection. Dnipropetrovsk is one of the largest industrial centers of Ukraine. As a result of the activities of these enterprises into the atmosphere by more than 150 stationary sources of more than 60 kinds of pollutants, such as suspended solids in addition to a liquid, and gaseous compounds, the problem of capture which is still unresolved. The objective of this work is to study the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of air pollution of the Dnepropetrovsk city, as well as to determine the characteristics of emissions from stationary and mobile sources of emissions.

Methodology. To analyze the sources used data from the Main Statistical Office in Dnipropetrovsk region. We analyzed the emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases into the atmosphere from stationary sources and mobile sources in 2013-2014.Findings.  The current state of air pollution of the city, considered qualitative and quantitative indicators of emissions.

Practical value. The ecological situation in the city of Dnepropetrovsk pointed that emissions is uneven and mostly - in industrial areas with a high concentration of metallurgical, machine-building, chemical and other industries.
