Abstract

Relevance. To date, Ukraine implemented numerous regulations on construction. In particular, SNiP 2.03.01-84* was replaced by DBN B.2.6-98:2009, the approach of which to calculation of reinforced concrete structures is completely different from the former rules and, essentially, reflects the methods of EU 1992-1-1. The building structures made of reinforced concrete should be calculated using the bending method, the essence of which is not difficult, but requires a considerable amount of time to deal with actually simple tasks. The introduced rules do not describe the approximate methods ofcalculating the reinforced concrete structures, but the known foreign literature, along with EU 1992-1-1, describes such techniques. At the moment not only in the field of design, but also in educational process, it is necessary, both a theoretical and practical side explaining application of socardinally differing approaches to the decision of the specified direction of problems. Besides work on Eurocodes is not limited to translation of documents. The European committee on standardization considers national features of each country joining system of Eurocodes. It means, that besides acceptance of positions of the international norms in the national standard it is possible and necessary toconsider climatic, hydro-geological and geological features of each of the countries-participants. As in each country there are tens andhundreds standards on materials and products, it should be considered in the future national standard, for example, national standard ДБН В.2.6-98:2009. It is possible to speak withconfidence that for acquaintance of the future experts and operating designers with features of the international standards the higher school, now, isnot ready to provide a methodical material insufficient volume. Absence similar to the publication show an indispensability of equipment by the literature of a similar sort grants and managements. It has confirmed an idea that in itself national norms cannot be considered as a material, sufficient for design. The purpose of this articleis a compilation of a simplified method of calculating the reinforced concrete columns with uniaxial bending on the basis of applicable regulations. Results. The method of simplified calculation of reinforced concrete columns with uniaxial bending based on applicable regulations was compiled. Scientific novelty and practical significance.The above method enables simplified design calculations of reinforced concrete columns with uniaxial bending with a high degree of accuracy with respect to the bending method according to applicable regulations.
