About the flow of filtration of the pile foundations of buildings on the slopes of beams

Abstract

The article discusses the possible occurrence of a problem related to the flow around a filtration flow by a pile foundation, high-rise buildings located on the slope of beams. The studies were carried out by modeling the flow of the filtration flow around the pile foundations and in the gaps between them, by applying the EGDA method. The article shows that when streamlining the filtration flows of pile foundations, a significant increase in velocity near the piles is possible. This can lead to a violation of the filtration strength of the soil, to the appearance of cavities, reducing the carrying capacity of piles. The paper concludes that it is necessary to take these phenomena into account when designing pile foundations on slopes.
