Abstract

PGASA, 2009. - p.372-374. - Bibliography: (1 titles). The paper is devoted to the study of the effect of pre-deformation and the temperature of annealing on phase transformations in whitewash vale iron doped with vanadium and silicon (up to 2%). It has been established that plastic deformation enhances metastableness of cementite and promotes the development of graphitization at annealing temperatures below Tnr of cementite, which in turn depends on the degree of deformation. Parallel to the formation of graphite, dissolution of carbide (Fe, V) 3C gives rise to vanadium carbides. This structure provides increased plasticity. At higher temperatures, new recrystallized grains are formed in cementite, its stability increases and the graphitization process decays, however, carbides VC are distinguished on new intergranular boundaries.
