Abstract

Annotation. Purpose. The banking system nowadays is a sphere of various services, which can be given to the clients. These are  the traditional cash-loan and cash-management operations, and the latest forms of the monetary and financial instrument. Therefore  the information technologies (IT) are the one of the most important source and ways of development of banking industry. The aim of  this work is to study the  modern approaches to determining the impact of information technology on the profitability of banking  operations  as  well  as  development  of  software  product  (SP),  which  allows  to  determine  the  profitability  of  banking  operations, depending on the use of certain information technologies. Technique. The mathematical model is used for the software development,  which is described by A.B. Pilyugin and D. Y. Fedorchenko in the work [4]. During this development, the authors used international  methodology of management by service ITIL information systems, which fully corresponds to the international standard ISO 9000  (manages the quality of it and software products). The selected model allows to determine the income  from a variety of bankin g  products,  the  costs  incurred  by  the  Bank  in  use  of  different  IT  assets  and  the  expenses  incurred  by  the  Bank  when  it  offers  its customers certain IT services.  Results.  On the basis of the selected model was constructed algorithm which allows to investigate the  impact of information technologies on profitability of banking operations. This algorithm is the basis for the development of SP. This  software product allows to determine the profitability of banking operations, depending on the use of certain it assets and i t services.  SP allows to determine the total profit, income and expenses. Besides using PP it is possible to determine the income from a  variety  of banking products, the costs incurred by the Bank in use of different IT assets and the expenses incurred by the Bank when it offers  its customers certain IT services. SP was created due to C# programming language and instruments of Microsoft Visual Studio  2012.  The interface software is comfortable for user and provides the ability to obtain results in numerical form or in the form of pie charts,  and generate reports in text format (doc-file). These reports consist of multiple tables and contain information on the percentage of  participation  of  banking  services  in  particular  banking  it  products,  information  about  participation  share  of  IT  assets  in  various  services. In addition, the generated report contains information about expenditures of the Bank on every asset and also the total yield.  Scientific  novelty.  Investigated  modern  approaches  to  determining  the  impact  of  information  technology  on  the  profitability  of  banking operations. Practical significance. Developed software PP can be used to study the impact of information technology on the profitability of banking operations. It may be used for educational and scientific purposes. In addition, it can be used as a prototype  for the development of powerful information systems for practical activities in the banking sector.
